R.J Katz an internationlly known  award-winning photographer. She started her photography career more than twenty-five years ago when she was commissioned to take photographs for the Photo News, an upstate New York newspaper. Taking a long hiatus from photography, she pursued a successful career in market research and marketing. In 2001, stimulated by landscapes of Cape Cod, New England and upstate New York, Ms. Katz returned to her passion for photography.
For the past 15 years, Ms. Katz has been travelling throughout the east coast on weekends and vacations capturing its scenic and natural beauty. Ms. Katz is especially captivated by the light and color of the Outer Cape specifically, Provincetown.  R.J has photographed more than 100,000 images in the past 15 years.  Although, her chosen medium is photography, she is influenced and inspired by the artists of French and American Impressionists, Luminists and the Hudson River School. In viewing R.J.’s land and seascapes, you can see the influence in composition, light, color, and the painterly qualities her images evoke.

R.J. Katz’s work has been shown throughout the Northeast, including Cape Cod, New York City, Upstate NY, and Long Island. Ms. Katz has been in many solo and group shows throughout the Northeast. She was represented by Little Gorgeous Things in Provincetown, Treasures in Truro, and Soho Photo in New York City.  Additionally, her work hangs in many private collections worldwide. MS. Katz images have been featured in many publications such as Provincetown Pocket Guide, Cape Cod Times, Provincetown Banner, Provincetown Arts, Gallery & Studio, Bay Windows and others.
